Last year one of the big stories was Daniel Negreanu finally ending one of the worst heads-up streaks in live poker, with two wins in the PokerGO Cup.

In 2022 he will no be putting in an attempt at another streak like that, because he is once again in the winner’s circle.

He defeated a field of 35 nosebleed players and a final table that included Sean Winter and Stephen Chidwick to take down the $15,000 event for $350,000.

“It feels really good,” Negreanu said after the win. “People who play tournament poker get this, especially live. You go through periods where you just feel like the poker gods are spitting on you, because they’ll beat you in hands in such ways, like on the river, where it’s the most emotional – and I’m an emotional guy, I don’t hide it very well. So it’s been a rough couple of years in terms of all-ins. But in these all-ins? I did great. I won with ace-eight, which was key, and you gotta do that sometimes. You see all the great players and think they’re all fantastic, but they also occasionally have to hit a three-outer in order to win.”

This week PokerGO have been streaming the final tables for free on YouTube, you can watch last night’s final table in full below:

At the time of writing Jeremy Ausmus, who won the 4th event in this series, is in front in the series leaderboard and at the final table of the next event. You can see the winners so far below:
